Position: Resource Management Assistant

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or another pertinent discipline; or a non-relevant bachelor’s degree along with any of the following:
  • CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting,
  • ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, or
  • equivalent accounting certificate at the country level.
    Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; preference given to candidates with professional experience of 2 years or more.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing transactional-level financial/accounting tasks.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budget planning and monitoring, and internal control practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and competence in managing relationships.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Solid working knowledge of financial systems such as SAP.
  • Language skills: Fluent in both French and English, with effective communication abilities in both languages.

General Competencies

  • Integrity and Independence: Ensuring accurate reports that present relevant facts openly and sharing information transparently.
  • Statutory and Other Stakeholder Reporting: Proficient in producing pro-forma financial statements and reports, well-versed in disclosure requirements, and familiar with management and auditor’s reports.
  • Internal Controls and Corporate Procedures: Analyzing data and business processes to evaluate control viability, identify issues, and assess areas of risk.
  • Governance: Interpretation of fundamental resource management needs within client’s governance structures, providing basic budget analysis.
  • Planning and Budgeting: Generating standard reports and budgets, analyzing budget data, and comprehending entity’s funding sources and structure.
  • Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Identifying user information requirements and delivering information to support management decisions.
  • Management Information and Tools Design: Analyzing management information needs, defining requirements, and ensuring information quality.
  • Financial Strategy: Understanding the impact on income statement and balance sheet strength, Bank’s lending products, and basic pricing structures.
  • Tasks and Workflow Management: Exceptional workflow coordination and task organization skills, taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities’ workflow.
  • Transaction Processing and Quality Control.
