Position 1: Senior Accountant Tax (Internal/External)
- Education & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, legal, or Accounting & Finance
- Successfully completed a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting/tax designation)
- 5 years’ experience in progressive tax finance roles, including tax reporting, compliance, and accounting.
- In-depth experience and technical knowledge of tax accounting and disclosures for accounting & reporting purposes
- Experience in proactive management of tax matters, keeping up to date with changes in the regulatory environment and dealing with Tax Authorities will be an added advantage.
- Role purpose:
- To ensure tax compliance is adhered to by complying with tax controls, procedures, and processes that are in place to enhance operation efficiencies within the business.
- Ensure that adequate preparations are made for annual statutory audit & other tax audits as required.

Position 2: Senior Accountant- Treasury & Cash Management (Internal/External)
- Education & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant CPA /ACCA/CIMA/ACA and a member of a professional body with a finance or related Honors degree from a recognized university
- 4-5 years Accounting experience in a well-run company
- At least 2 years at a supervisory level
- Extensive experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses.
- Experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans.
- Role purpose:
- Efficient management of cash, funding, and financial risk for across group companies in line with approved policies. This includes secure investment of cash resources as well as providing or securing the financial resources required by Safaricom and its subsidiaries to meet their business objectives in a timely, cost-efficient, and secure manner.
- Efficient management of all treasury operations including forex and cash management; ensuring the company has the best banking products and services for its operations; responsibility for all banking relationships; accurate cash flow forecast reporting.

Position 3: Senior System Engineer: VAS
- Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- BSc. Degree or equivalent in one of the following: Telecommunication Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electronics engineering/Computer Science/IT.
- 5+ years’ experience in IT / telecommunication environment or Software Engineering
- Good knowledge in VAS solutions including Messaging, Voice & Service Delivery Platforms
- Experience on development in Java
- Experience with REST API and microservices development
- Strong understanding of virtualization and container infrastructure technology
- Knowledge of Distributed Systems, analytics tools such and Python, Standard Query languages, Procedural Programming languages, Linux/Unix, Shell scripting
- Experience with JavaScript, JSON, XSLT, XML
- Knowledge in TCP/IP, IP Traffic Engineering, SS7 signaling, GSM MAP and SMPP Protocols
- Working knowledge in Unix systems and Databases – Oracle, MySQL.
- Deep understanding of 3GPP protocols and interfaces
