Kadisco Paint Vacancy for Fresh Graduates – Junior Accountant

Kadisco Paint and Adhesive Industry S.C., previously known as Kadisco Chemical Industry PLC, is a privately-owned company located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It has a rich history dating back to the late 60s when it started as a small automotive parts dealership. Over the years, it has evolved into a diversified paint manufacturer. In 2015, it formed a joint venture with Asian Paints Ltd, one of India’s leading paint companies. Today, Kadisco Paint produces a wide range of paints for various sectors, including construction, industrial, and automotive.

Position: Junior Accountant

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a recognized university; additional education or certification in finance administration is a plus.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting department.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Superior attention to detail; skills such as analytics, critical thinking, problem-solving, and multi-tasking are required.
  • Integrity and honesty are essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours and collaborate with other staff.
  • Flexibility and ability to stay effective and motivated in a fast-changing environment.
  • Knowledge of local laws of the country.
  • Proficiency in English (oral & written).
  • Must be a good team player.
  • Dynamic, well-organized, self-driven, and have a good personality.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
  • Able to work under pressure and complete tasks within preset timeframes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Posting daily Cash sales on SAP.
  • Posting CRVs on SAP.
  • Cash report management.
  • Petty cash management.
  • Posting of Raw Materials & Packing Materials and processing local payments on SAP.
  • Preparing all bank-to-bank transfers, maintaining the ascending order of serial numbers, and following up for bank advices.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
