The position is structured to report to the Public Affair and Communication Manager
Position: Communication Specialist
Skills, Experience & Education:
First Degree in Journalism/English Language & Literature/Public Relations or related field of studies with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Public Affairs & Communication with strong experience in written & verbal communication, government relation and liaison, and media relations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the company social media networks, update and monitor regularly;
- Actively engage media to enhance corporate reputation;
- Lead documentation of company events and major interventions as well as send updates to different internal and external stakeholders;
- Compile, design and dispatch internal communication materials, including newsletters, factsheets, news clips, etc.
- Compile weekly socio-political update and monitor media on a regular basis
- Support Regulatory Affairs manager in engaging government stakeholders to build positive image.
- Draft and send out press releases to media houses.
- Manage media inquiries and arrange interviews, statements etc.
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
- Plan and organise company events and media briefings, send complied stories and pictures to group communication office
- Assist the Regulatory Affairs manager to proactively tackle regulatory risks.
